I am the sister of the woman who had MDS but she wasn't as lucky as you; we lost her November 21st. After my mastectomy and reconstruction it took forever for me to be able to even lift my right arm up over my head and forget having any strength.

I am an independent person and it was so frustrating to be dependent on my dh and ds to lift things for me. It was about 8 months before I was allowed to lift more than five pounds because of the reconstruction. I slowly adapted to the new restrictions and I slowly regained my stamina and abilities.

Four years later I still smile when I'm able to reach both of my arms behind my back to hook my bra. That was a great day when I could do that again. Hang in there and I'm glad you are improving day by day.
