As I was awake early this morning, I went ahead and made this year's quota. With these and the TV Tidbits done, I'm going to change to a sweet for the next holiday treat. Maybe my great-grandmother's pralines.
This year I decided to use the 6 qt Kitchenaid to mix the ingredients. It worked, but next time I will use the dough hook, rather than the paddle attachment.

Becky, these are good -- I've made them but not for a long time -- perhaps they should be resurrected!

I suspect Mike will grab a few of these for his breakfast this morning. They are easy and well-loved here by him, my Mom and Abbey. I am trying to get a few things made before my Mom comes today. Her health is not really allowing her to make anything this year, so I'm trying to choose relatively easy things I know she will like.
ReplyDeleteGive them a whirl again. I ran across a cookie recipe last night that I haven't done in years and I'm thinking of making again.
Becky:
ReplyDeleteWill have to make these for the hubby to try. They look delicious,
and he loves anything with cheese!
Maryann, give them a try. I bet Sid will like them!
