I have said before that my dishes make me happy. At holiday time there are quite a few patterns of Post-86 Fiesta from which I can choose to make a festive table. These may be some of my favourites: Betty Crocker Peppermint Fiesta. Betty Crocker carried a number of different Fiesta items in their catalogue and had quite a few exclusives. It was a sad day for Fiesta collectors when General Mills discontinued the BC Catalogue. This peppermint pattern was one of those exclusives. I believe it is from around 2005, as there is a dated Fiesta ornament in this pattern from that year.
Another passion of mine is vintage tablecloths. I have sometimes described these coverings from bygone years as backgrounds to make dishes sparkle. But the tablecloths are full of beauty and collectible in their own right.
Today's tablesetting uses Betty Crocker Peppermint Fiesta, a vintage table cover known as The Night Before Christmas tablecloth, vintage California Hand Prints napkins, Santa napkin rings that I believe came from Target a few years ago, vintage peppermint candy cane glassware, peppermint swizzle sticks that were a gift from my friend, Daphne, over at Tabletop Time, Cityscape flatware and peppermint place card holders. The centrepieces are Snowman Water Towers from Dept. 56.

ReplyDeleteYour table is fabulous! I don't think I've ever seen a table with the full placesetting of BC peppermint before. Beautiful! Your accessories and TC are just the right choices for this special Fiesta pattern. I think this is your first Tablescape Thursday...yipee! I was so hoping we'd see a 'scape from you this season.
