Thursday Medical Update

Good evening friends! This morning I put a message on Facebook that I was at the blood lab and could use some good thoughts for my blood counts. Well Team Positive Thinking, overall you did it!!!!

My platelets were lower. Not good, but this wasn't completely unexpected.
My red counts were stable.
My white counts were stable.
My neutrophils had gone UP a little! This means I can go shopping with DD#2 for her homecoming dress in Chattanooga on Saturday as long as I wear my mask and avoid overtly sick people.
My liver function numbers have come down some more. If they keep up at this rate, they should be back close to the normal range next week.

So for the most part I got good news today. I go back next week on Wednesday to have blood tests again. Those numbers will determine whether or not I start the next round of chemo the following Monday. It's possible for my counts to drop between now and then, but I am hopeful that they won't.

My mouth is still pretty sore from the work to get the new crown, but I have pain medicine for that. And I'm still feeling nauseous off and on. These things are manageable.

all so very much for your continued love, care and concern. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.
