Tuesday's medical report 12-09-08

This morning I got my IV Vancomycin with no problem other than a misplaced chart. Then I came back home till it was time for the appointment with the surgeon. The surgeon looked at my port and took out the stitches. He agreed it does look a lot better, but still needs to come out. Tomorrow is the big day. I'm scheduled to see my hematologist at 8:00 and get platelets. Then be at the surgery centre by 1:00 to get prepped for a 2:30 surgery. I asked again about getting a new port in the other side at the same time, but the surgeon says no. Too much risk of it getting infected. We can try again in about a month. At least I should catch up on any missed sleep tomorrow!
